Small Groups have been categorized in the past as basic groups (short-term introductory groups), focus groups (short-term topical studies), and covenant groups (ongoing home fellowships). But, the LORD is expanding the possibilities with many more kinds of groups that may meet in homes, the workplace, the community, or at North Heights Church. Many of the same curricula and groups remain but under new headings.
Childcare: Small Groups may go in together to hire a babysitter for their children. These arrangements are made by individual small group members, and not by the church. You are encouraged to ensure the careful selection of your childcare personnel.
· Groups include three or more people (including the leader) who attend regularly.
· Groups gather at least twice monthly.
· Each group gathering includes one or more of the following: worship, prayer, Bible study, and/or testimonies.
· Groups identify and develop an apprentice leader.
· Group members are encouraged and developed as prospective leaders.
· Groups are supported by a coach and division leader.
· New people are welcome in the group – unless otherwise specified.
· Group members are encouraged to invite people from outside North Heights to attend the group.
· Leaders plan for growth! Growth is an indication of a spiritually healthy group.
